         PULIMURUGAN  is Pulimurugan is a a much awaited and promising film directed by vaishak, staring mohanlal and kamalini mukherji in the lead rolePulimurugan is a a much awaited and promising film directed by vaishak, staring mohanlal and kamalini mukherji in the lead role.  It is the first independent screenplay written by Udayakrishna of the Udayakrishna-Siby K. Thomas duo. The film is produced by Tomichan Mulakupadam through the production house, Mulakupadam Films. The score and soundtrack are composed by Gopi Sunder, while cinematography is handled by Shaji Kumar.

PLOT

The movie starts from decades before real timeline when murugan (child) kills a wild tiger taking the vengeance of his father’s murder. The movie jumps the huddles of years when an old gaffer from forest came to a valley searching murugan. But he couldn’t find him as murugan was abroad after eloping from the police force that was against his family. The film invites the attention of audience once again back to normal timeline to show how murugan suppose to elope away after killing a wild tiger.

Murugan loves his family and his one and only brother. He doesn’t even care about himself for the happiness of these people to whom he devote his life. When the film progress, he encounters a gangster named daadi after delivering a bunch of ganja, to help his brothers friend and thus to make a deal of job-assurance for his brother. When he realise that he was actually cheated by them, he decides to reach back to the forest securing his brother from the villains.

As murugan was chased by the villains to his home, he has to confront the havoc created by the wild tiger and his enemies. At the brim of the climax he fights with the villains in the forest and finally kills the tiger after it kills the gangster daadi.

Positives

The movie is specially recognized for the stardom of mohanlal with is flexible action sequences that we didn’t see in malayalm cinemas ever in the history. The action sequences are jumbled with thrilling background score and highly choreographed martial arts. The cinematography bestows in every corner of the wildlife beauty and professionally mopped what an audience wish to see and experience. Mohanlal again and again proves himself that he is irreplaceable and universal. The film gives equal importance to drama, romance, comedy and especially actions that makes it comfortable to the very class of audience.

Negatives.

Though pulimurugan is an ordinary human being, sometimes the director considers him as extra ordinary. Somewhere in the second half, the movie lags little as we were breathlessly waiting for the next action sequence.

Rating.

Tapping my palms as hard as i can, i am giving 9/10 to this wonderful film..
