JOSEPH, MALAYALAM MOVIE REVIEW..
Joseph happened to be like a mango-shower in this dry season of malayalam movie releases ,which are all challenged by the storms and thunders created by the much awaited film ODIYAN.
PLOT.
The movie throw the rays first at the erratic lifestyle of a retired police officer named Joseph who is well established by the director as the man with a deep scar emotionally. The rest of the first half tells about joseph in detailed, his old relationship ,breakup , marriage,then separation from his wedlock and so on..
Second half starts with the investigation of his wifes murder that leads to the conspiracy which mystifies around the similar death of his daighter. Joseph studies all such details about the particular hospital and rules out that the victims of minor accidents admitted to this hospital are voluntarily declares brain-dead by the hospital authorities and they used to mock the kerala Governments scheme Mrthasanjeevani through which the hospital manipulate the organ transplantation to desired backward people from the Government's list and divert such transplantations to the beneficiaries for high benefits of about 1.5 crores from a single person through different organs. Joseph deduce all these rackets of hospital, chasing through the deliberate medical mishaps of his wife and daughter, and decides to succumb himself to this trap so as to proove this scenario infront of honourable Highcourt of kerala. He writes a prosthimus dairy in which his death,explaining all the following scenarios of the hospital, is documented and produces infront of the court that markes as one of the milestone judgement stipulating and recommending the Government to amend the policies of Mrthasanjivani scheme with few necessary reforms..

M Padmakumar after his vaasthavam remerge as the one who tells the stories with social importance.
As the movies assures the total responsibility of the protogonist to make sure the title worthy, jojo has comeup with such a versatile performance that we have never seen from him before.
Investigating part of the film is logical in a sense that it doesn't outclass the wisdom of audience with unnecessary technical and psychological establishments.
HOWLS.
Though the story goes fast,the script delivers the same in a snails pace with irrelevant detailings about the protogonist, especially in the first half.
Songs are not felt situational except the first one so the rest of all creates yet another lagging..
Am giving 3.5/ 5 for this dramatic crime thriller that I think ,could have also been told without making Joseph into a Martyr for medical justice...
