Rocketry, The nambi effect, Review.

Nambi Narayanan, one of the best scientist of ISRO, played by R Madhavan effectively narrates the ups and downs of his life in docu-drama style.


The film dedicates its first half to mark Nambi narayanans contributions to indian space missions and its second half to his further journies , unexpected arrest on suspicious charges, identifying him as antinational, further custodial tortures, his trails and acquittance from the supreme court at last.

Chronologically, Nambi as a brilliant student gets scholarship to study in Princeton university about solid fuels and later to liquid fuels on rocketry. He flies back to India and rejoins ISRO to develop liquid engines. As india cant afford the engines, he and his team joins a french mission named vikings on which liquid fuel is being used. He understands the french technology from there and flies back to india. Later he aspires to develop cryogenic engines for that he makes a deal with india and Russia for the equipments. As the USSR collapses, India get the equipments for affordable price and he takes it via karachi to avoid US sanctions.

After such great contributions, one day he got arrested on suspicious charges of sedition that he is allegedly transferred some confidential information to pakistan. He then faces 17 trails and looses all his name, fame and became tainted as antinational.. After, a long legal battle, supreme court of india aquit him from all the charges and orders to give him 1 crore compensation.
