Parava is a malaylam film directed by soubin shahir , revolves around the hugs and thugs of pigeon fighting in fort kochi and the waves it follows. The films opens when Irshad (icchhaappi) and his friend haseeb steel a guppy from a fish tank and escape back to theie home where they design their own world of fishes and pigeons. The film then quicken with so many plots of laughter and childish adventures of both these boys, their schoolings, friends, pigeon fights and so on.When haseeb found a drug abuser in a covert while he was searching for a cricket ball, the man in a covert is identified as the one who killed their ikka-Imran(Dulquir salman).

But the situation, mislead towards the rivalry that develop when the the boys were lock their horns with a drug maniac who come to the shop to buy it. As this rivalry develops, on an attack , Imran was attacked by the gang and got killed by knifing his neck. After that incident, shaine, the character played by shane nigam was totally isolated himself in his home and remains muted to everyone on the regret of been helpless over imrans murder.
When the film reaches its brim, its focuses on the pigeon fight at fort kochi but the doves lookafter by ichaappi and haseeb were stolen from their hurts. They compete in the competition with their hidden pairs of pigeons, ans they search for the rest of their pets. The search ends when they rule out the guys who killed their imran , are the men behind stealing their doves. All the boys including shane fights with those drug users and beat them hardly till the police come and arrest those villians...
POSITIVES
The positive aspect of the film is that it doesnt actually leave any neagatives. All the characters were done their roles with at most commitment and dedication. The two boys namely Amal shah and Govind V Pai really deserves special mention. Cinematography is just awesome with mind blowing visuals of sea-side-horizon and the reallife images of fort kochi slums. Music and background score also deserves the heartfelt applause.
NEAGATIVES
The film doesn't actually having a perfectly started and softly ended story line with something as a take home message and something that need to be told to the society.
The dialogues are not much legible as its realistically written with vernacular vocabulary delivered in the local slang.
The story always shifts the focus without sticking on to a particular track. Revenge, school jokes, pigeon fights, other sand and dusts were all together puzzled in the narration without having much alignment sometimes
Rating: As an reviewer, i strongly vote for parava by giving 3.5/ 5. Please let the doves fly and fly to higher and higher sky...
